Civilians, soldiers clash leaving 127 dead in S.Sudan: army

JUBA: A military spokesperson said on Wednesday that 127 people were killed in clashes between soldiers and civilians during a disarmament exercise in the town of Tonj in central South Sudan.

The spokesperson, Major General Rua Rouen Cann, said: “The latest number of victims has risen to 127,” he added, of which 45 were security forces and 82 were armed youths in the area.
