China reports 12 new mainland coronavirus cases on April 19, eight imported

Shanghai: The Chinese health department said on Monday that China reported 12 newly diagnosed coronavirus cases on April 19, lower than the 16 cases a day ago. There were no new deaths.

Of the total, eight were imported, down from nine on the previous day, the National Health Commission said in its daily bulletin.

There were 4 local infections, including 3 in the northeastern border provinces and 1 in Inner Mongolia.

On April 19, mainland China also reported 49 new asymptomatic coronavirus cases, compared with 44 cases a day ago.

As of April 19, there were a total of 82,747 cases and 4,632 deaths in mainland China.
