Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (Bilawal Bhutto Zardari) attacked the federal government’s ongoing gasoline strike on Thursday.
When talking about national issues, he mentioned that the people are unable to obtain basic necessities of life, indicating that the government has failed to solve the basic problems of the people across the country.
He said that due to the government’s negation of Petroleum Dealers Association (PDA) whole of the country is suffering. Bilawal went on to add that along with the lack of availability of basic necessities of life to people, petrol is also unavailable nationwide whereas at the localities where it is available public is enforced to stand in long queues.
In addition, he went on to mention that the public has been buying gasoline and petroleum products at historically increased interest rates, and the current increase in gasoline prices will increase public suffering.
The PPP chairman stated that load shedding, inflation, electricity crisis and rising gasoline prices are gifts from Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) International Monetary Fund (IMF) transaction. Bilawal stated that their party opposed the budget proposed by the PTI government from the beginning, and now the whole country is suffering the consequences of the PTI budget. The poor state of the country’s economy and the public shows Imran Khan’s incompetence.
