LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) awarded six death penalties on three counts to convict Sohail Shehzad for kidnapping, sodomising and murdering four minors in Chunian police precincts.
According to detailed information, significant progress has been made in child abuse cases in Chun’an. The Anti-Terrorism Court sentenced the defendant Sohail to six death sentences, two life sentences and a fine of 6.4 million rupees in two cases.
After recording statement of the accused under section 342, the anti-terrorism court judge Muhammad Iqbal ruled on the case. The court had earlier sentenced Sohail to death in two cases.
In accordance with special provisions on terrorism, child abuse and murder cases were registered against the defendant at the Chun’an Police Station.
The criminal declared the allegations false in the final statement of Article 342. Deputy Attorneys Abdul Jabbar Dogar and Mian Tufail recorded the final statement. Due to security issues, the defendant has been in jail.
