Lahore: President Dr Arif Alvi has the power to announce the election date, asking the president to give the election date tomorrow or resign, the People’s Muslim League chairman and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid said on Sunday.
Talking to the media in Lahore, he said that he came to Lahore to meet Imran Khan and that he was ready to be arrested on February 22, according to the main hope of PTI.
Rashid said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had not earned respect by pushing the country into crisis, adding that elections would be held in the provinces along with the centre.
He claimed that the fate of the country’s politics would be decided by April 30, saying he would not be held responsible for any major accidents before April 30.
“I am not with thieves and hooligans. They want to take me to Karachi, but I am Sheikh Rashid, not Arshad Sharif.
