Aleem Khan rejoins the Punjab Cabinet

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Leader Aleem Khan, was sworn in as provincial minister at a ceremony at Governor’s House, Lahore on Monday.

Punjab governor Saudhry Muhammad Sarwar swore from Lahore to MPA.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also attended the meeting.

Aleem Khan will likely be given the portfolios of local government and food.

He was released from Kot Lakhpat prison in May last year after Lahore Supreme Court bailed the NAB case. After being arrested by the Corruption Control Service, he resigned from the post of local minister.

He was still held by the agency from February 7 to March 5 and sentenced to prison. He was locked up for 73 days and released on bail on May 17 after being arrested by the Supreme Court.

The National Bank accused Aleem Khan of alleged corruption and corruption by collecting assets outside of known sources of income in and outside Pakistan.
