Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has held a hearing on Thursday on the petition for the review of the former prime minister and the supreme Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), opposing Al-Azizia Surrendered in the Steel Mills corruption case.
At the hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor told the court that the former prime minister had been declared a suspect.
Judge Mohsin Kiyani stated that Nawaz Sharif’s bail was rejected and he has since become a fugitive in the case. He went on to say that the former prime minister now lives in London, but his doctor is in the United States.
Subsequently, the court directed a dispute over the admissibility of the plea and adjourned the hearing to September 15.
