PESHAWAR: After being accused of getting commissions through advertising, Ajmal Wazir was removed from his post on Saturday as consultant to the Chief Minister of Information and Public Relations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The decision has been taken by KP CM Mahmood Khan after an alleged recording of audio call between Ajmal Wazir and an advertisement company representative surfaced.
A notice that Wazir Khan was removed from office has also been issued, and CM Mahmood Khan ordered an investigation.
Furthermore, Adviser to KP CM on Local Bodies and Rural Development Kamran Bangash has been given the portfolio of Information and Public Relations Adviser.
Let it be known that Ajmal Wazir was appointed on March 3, 2020 after removal of the then Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai.
