Islamabad: On Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan finalized the position of Chief Minister of Khalid Khursheed’s spokesperson Gilgit Baltistan.
On Thursday, PTI candidate Amjad Ali Zaidi had been elected Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly.
Polling was held for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, in which Amjad Ali Zaidi of PTI and Ghulam Muhammad of Opposition contested for Speaker. The PTI candidate won the election with a total of 18 votes.
In the polls, the DPP candidate Amjad Ali Zaidi’s 4 votes were rejected, and the opposition candidate Ghulam Muhammad’s one vote was also rejected . The opposition candidate voted 8 against Amjad Ali Zaidi’s 18 votes.
