Accounts of all political parties must be presented before public: Fawad Chaudhry

Lahore: Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Sunday that the accounts of all political parties must be made public. He mentioned this when referring to foreign funding cases.

In a speech at a press conference with the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib, he said that the previous government had not resolved the issue of Gwadar. The work on foreign funded cases has still not been carried out in the way it should be.

The accounts of all parties must be submitted before they are made public. He went on to add that the Prime Minister will bring a big plan to solve the problems of the people of Balochistan. The government knows the problems facing the Guadres. Issues including electricity, natural gas and water will soon be dealt with by the Balochistan government.

In addition, he said that the government wants to make the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) a powerful institution. Many extreme organizations are not registered with the ECP. He said that none of the PML-N donor records are registered in the ECP. Similarly, the PPP funding record between 2009 and 2012 was empty. The source of funding is still unknown, and in the KPK department, PML-N has never been held accountable.

At the same time, Farrukh Habib added that the government has submitted 22 volumes to the ECP. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) has submitted complete records to ECP, while PPP and PML-N have not yet submitted such records. He further stated that both sides are delaying the process.
