Govt-TLP agreement: Saad Rizvi, 486 others removed from Fourth Schedule


Lahore: The government has removed 487 Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) members from Schedule 4, including its chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi.

As a result of the agreement reached between the government and TLP, 577 party members have been deleted from Schedule IV so far.

It is worth mentioning that the Federal Ministry of the Interior also deleted the name of the Pakistan Labour Party (TLP) from the list of banned clothing.

After the Federal Cabinet approved the cancellation of TLP’s banned status, the Ministry of the Interior received a summary. Later, the Federal Ministry of the Interior issued a notice requesting the removal of the banned label of TLP.

The government earlier announced that TLP was a “radical organization” that created unrest in the country after a series of violent conflicts.

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, stated that the government decided to treat the banned organization as a “radical organization”.
